PRAISE BAND PRACTICE:  Practice is starting up again.  It will be held on Tuesdays at 6 p.m. starting this Tuesday, March 9th.  If you have questions, contact Tom Butler.

BAPTISM:  Lillian Faith Mott was baptized on Sunday, Feb. 28, 2010.  Lillian is the daughter of Holly & William Mott, granddaughter of J.D. & Lena Matta and the great-granddaughter of Lucille Matta & Maxine Ramsay.

WELCOME:  We would like to take this time to welcome our newest members, Maria Simmons and her family.  Welcome to the Heritage UMC family!

RELAY FOR LIFE:  The youth are participating in the Ocean Springs “Relay For Life” on April 30th.  They are selling Southern Belle T-shirts.  The shirts are dark purple with the saying “Remembering by candlelight loved ones we’ve lost and those that still fight.  Southern Belles…celebrate the night as we Relay for Life”.  To place your order, contact any youth, Ms. Nancy, Cindy & Brian Sims, or Jamie Sanders.  THIS IS YOUR LAST WEEK TO ORDER!

YOUR HELP IS NEEDED (Phone Number Change):  There is a need for one adult to lead Children’s Church each Sunday during the 11 a.m. Worship Service.  Materials are provided.  Children’s Church gives our preschool through 3rd grade children an opportunity to worship at their level of understanding AND it allows their parents an opportunity to worship as well.  Please contact Rhonda Hepler to volunteer (424-4657).

HATS! HATS! HATS!  Get them before they’re gone.  Blue denim Heritage ball caps are available for $10.  See Sheila & Vicki in the trailer or Linda in the church office to purchase one.

HERITAGE “U” is scheduled for Tuesday, March 23 at 6:30 p.m.  A Master Gardener from the Mississippi State University Extension Service will speak on Spring Gardening.  Make your plans now to attend this informative workshop.

HERITAGE HEROES:  Heritage Excellence Rewards Others with Exceptional Service is a program to recognize those ‘angels’ & ‘unsung heroes’ that keep Heritage running and looking good.  Nomination forms are available on the table in the foyer next to the “HEROES” deposit box.  Please take time to nominate the person that you know goes above and beyond over and over and over again!!!  Be sure to check out the HEROES Bulletin Board in the hall next to the white mailboxes.

WORSHIP COMMITTEE MEETING:  There is a Worship Committee Meeting scheduled for Tuesday, Mar. 9th at 6:30 p.m.  Members are:  Jamie Sanders, Brother David Cumbest, Nancy Gentry, Rick Murden, Tom Butler, Pattie Cumbest, Wil Cantrell, Lee Hubert, Perri Schwartz, Cathy Miller, Brenda Tucker-Cassity, Sharette Rivera, Pat Agregaard, Matthew Butler, Corey Sims, Danielle Peebles, & Jacklyn Smith.

FOR SALE:  The Music Department is selling an antique upright piano for the best offer.  For more information, please contact Tom Butler at 228-424-1325.

EFRID BIBLE STUDY:  There are two times that you can attend the Bible Study.  Times are 1 p.m. and/or 6 p.m.  For more information, contact Sheila Gillies.

ATTENTION STOCKHOLDERS:  Drag out those polyester leisure suits and platform shoes because it’s time for the Annual Stockholder Appreciation Dinner on Saturday, March 27, 2010, at 6 p.m.  The Heritage Disco will be open for a wonderful evening of dining and entertainment.  Dinner menu is spaghetti, green beans, salad, dinner roll, and dessert.  Entertainment will be provided by Kelly Norris and the Village People.  Yes, that’s right…the Village People have reunited and are making a one time only appearance at the Heritage Disco.  We promise this will be an evening you don’t want to miss.

Just a Friendly Reminder: Each Sunday, before and after worship there will be a “Change for Change” jar sitting in the church foyer.  Please save your loose change during the week and put it in the jar on Sunday.  These funds will be give to the Youth Service Fund (YSF).
