1VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL:  Don’t forget “Galactic Blast – a Cosmic Adventure Praising God” is coming up soon!  Dates are Monday, July 12th through Friday, the 16th, from 6-8:30 p.m.  Make plans for your space cadets to attend and bring their friends as we take off on the Starship ‘Galactic Praise’.

2VBS VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:  Please consider volunteering your time by signing up on the poster out front.  We still need adults in several key positions.  No experience is needed, just a desire to share your love of God with our children and those of our community.  You will receive at least as much as you give during this special week.  We are blessed to be a blessing!

HELP IS NEEDED:   Anyone who is interested in being a communion reader, please contact Jamie Sanders at 228-326-6503 or sand10401@cableone.net.  Thank you.

SPECIAL MUSIC:  If you would like to sing or perform special music during either service, please contact Tom Butler at 388-6845.

3PRAYER GARDEN AND BRICK PAVERS:  Work for the Prayer Garden is going very well, and a big thanks to all of the volunteers for their help.  The brick pavers are expected to be installed by the end of July so the deadline for sponsoring a brick in honor or memory of a loved one is Thursday, July 15.  The pavers are $100, and you must fill out a form so we know what you want imprinted on the brick.  If you have not purchased a paver yet and plan to, don't miss your chance to honor a loved one with a paver in our beautiful Prayer Garden!

2 for 1 VIP DINER’S CARDS:  The United Methodist Men are once again selling VIP 2 for 1 Diner’s cards for Salute Italian and Back Bay Seafood restaurants as a fund raiser to support mission work beyond our church.  Each card can be used for up to five lunch and five dinner buy one get one free meals at each restaurant.  The first time the card is used, a complimentary appetizer valued up to $9.95 is included.  The cost of each card is $20.00.  Use the card once and it has paid for itself.  The UMMen keeps $10.00 from each card sold.  These cards make great gifts, so buy one to use and several to give as gifts.  For additional information or to purchase VIP cards, see Jack Anderson or Tom Butler.

4CHURCH TOYOTA VAN:  The small gold church van is for sale to church members first, and then it will be offered to the public.  If you are interested see Lee Gentry or Bob Ellis for details.

5YOUR HELP IS NEEDED (Phone Number Change):  There is a need for one adult to lead Children’s Church each Sunday during the 11 a.m. Worship Service.  Materials are provided.  Children’s Church gives our preschool through 3rd grade children an opportunity to worship at their level of understanding AND it allows their parents an opportunity to worship as well.  Please contact Rhonda Hepler to volunteer (424-7868).

FOOD AND FAITH:  UMW will have a study on July 17th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m..  All women of the church are invited and encouraged to attend.  This will be a fun time for us to study about food and it’s important place in our faith and in the church.  Please start saving magazines with pictures of food.  Also, lunch will be served.  Each person is asked to bring one salad item.  We will have lettuce, but we are asking each lady to bring one tomato, or one cucumber, etc.  it will be interesting to see the salad that we make together.  Please come join us for this FUN and informative study.

ATTENTION PARENT(S) OF ANY RISING 7TH GRADERS:  Please leave the youth’s name, address, and a contact number for YOU with Linda in the church office or with Ms. Nancy at 424-0043.

PRAYERS ARE REQUESTED:  Please pray for the youth and their leaders as they travel to and from Lake Junaluska July 4-8, and pray the Youth in Missions week will be a life changing experience for those in attendance.

SIFAT PARENT/YOUTH MEETING:  Attention parent(s) of youth attending SIFAT July 18-23, 2010.  There will be a meeting to discuss trip details and answer any questions you have on Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at 7:00 p.m.

ATTENTION ALL RISING 10th Graders through College Freshmen:  Convo 2010 is on July 9-11 at Seashore United Methodist Assembly (SUMA).  Cost is $85; however, stock funds can be used if youth has completed 25 service projects.  Registration is due now.  If interested in attending contact Ms. Nancy at 424-0043.

CALLING ALL STOCKHOLDERS:  Quarterly ‘free’ carwash for all stockholders will be held on Saturday, July 17 from 9-12:00.
